The Blows and Capoeira Movements From the Caricatures of Calixto Cordeiro.

This study analyses some elements of the historical and social nature of Capoeira, such as the juridical-political, the clothing, the symbolic and the identity, but, essentially, those of a physical and linguistic nature, from the caricatures produced by Calixto Cordeiro, which illustrated the work of Lima Campos in 1906. In this work, a multi-method process was applied, represented by the presuppositions of Historical Archeology, the interpretation of images indicated by Panofsky, and the documental analysis of various sources. The use of these presuppositions and the confrontation of sources of diverse natures allowed us to interpret the signs, symbols, and meanings from the facts and data described by Cordeiro, about Capoeira presented by different literates. The results of these analyses showed substantial information about the blows/moves of this struggle, as well as its different names, slang and expressive forms, often associated with different groups of practitioners from different Brazilian cities.

Análise praxiológica do primeiro regulamento desportivo da capoeira / Praxiology analysis of the first regulation sports of capoeira / Análisis praxiológica de las primeras reglas deportivas de la capoeira

Este estudo analisa o primeiro "Regulamento Técnico de Capoeira", marco do seu processo de transformação em desporto. Foram utilizados os métodos etnográfico e histórico,análise de conteúdo, e análise praxiológica para o levantamento, tratamento e interpretação dos dados. Resultados: trinta e dois capítulos do regulamento pertencem à lógica externa da Capoeira, e dez deles à lógica interna. Conclusões: a prevalência da lógica externa sobre a interna indicia a forte ênfase em fatores marginais à competição da luta, o que marcou indelevelmente o processo de regulação desportiva da Capoeira.

This study first analyzes the "Technical Regulation of Capoeira," mark of the process of transformation in sport. The methods used were ethnographic and historical content analysis,praxeological and analysis for the survey, processingand interpretation of data. Results: Thirty-two chapters of the regulation belong to the external logic of Capoeira,and ten of them to the internal logic. Conclusions: The prevalence of external logic on the internal indicates the strong emphasis on factors marginal to the competition of the struggle, which has indelibly marked the process of regulating sport of Capoeira.

Este estudio analiza el primer "Reglamento Técnico de la Capoeira", marco del proceso de su transformación en el deporte. Los métodos utilizados fueron etnográficos y histórico, análisis de contenido,y el análisis praxeológico de la encuesta, el procesamiento e interpretación de datos. Resultados: treinta y dos capítulos de la regulación pertenecen a la lógica externa de la Capoeira, y diez de ellos a La lógica interna. Conclusiones: la prevalencia de la lógica externa sobre la interna indica el fuerte énfasis en lós factores marginales a la competencia de la lucha, que ha marcado de forma indeleble el proceso de regulación deportiva de la Capoeira.
